Driving Efficiency and Growth Through ERP Transformation
Who

Industrial Manufacturing and Logistics Company

Why

The company believed it could operate more efficiently after multiple acquisitions and significant growth. The current operational systems and business processes were highly manual, error-prone, spreadsheet-driven, outdated, unreliable, and lacking many financial controls. Leadership wanted a better way to support customers, integrate acquisitions, manage and streamline financial reporting, operations, inventory, manufacturing, service, and logistics processes, and make better-informed decisions.

How

After a comprehensive business case was created, led the strategy, planning, implementation, and rollout of a new ERP (SAP).

The new system encompassed new business processes in finance, asset management, purchasing, materials management, inventory management, plant maintenance, service management, business intelligence, reporting, analytics, and several custom interfaces to critical 3rd party systems.

From project planning to post-go-live, organizational change management and adoption were focused on to help ensure the company harnessed all benefits from the system without business disruption.

Results

The ERP went live and immediately transformed the company, providing measurable operational efficiencies. It eliminated many manual processes, increased accuracy, and decreased service and manufacturing times. This created improved financial results, allowed for the reallocation of efficient use of resources, and provided better visibility for management into business performance to make better decisions. It met and exceeded all strategic short and long-term goals.

This is just one of several dozen successful ERP projects from SAP, Oracle, or Workday across many industries that Greg has been a major part of.
